Fog and Ruins

A friend of mine, Jenna Mintz, posted this amazing picture on facebook this morning. I couldn't resist adding it to our blog about ruins. Any guesses as to where/what it is? It certainly has a ruinous quality to it.

Well, I'll tell you. It's Modi'in, this week. And it isn't at all a ruin. It's just some amazing fog. The point of this is to show that atmospheric conditions can also play a large role in affecting how we see ruins.

Here are a couple more examples of real ruins in fog:

The Appalachian Trail

Machu Picchu, (by Michael Markovics) one of the most famously foggy ruins.
